Yay… It’s My First Day of School Review, a Great Ice Breaker!

Having read Yay… It’s My First Day of School to my kids, I witnessed its impact firsthand. The book effortlessly captures the essence of those nerve-wracking yet exciting first days. The rhymes and illustrations are absolutely adorable and they can easily open up conversations about school experiences. I’d imagine it being an excellent tool for teachers to help students feel more comfortable sharing their emotions, especially about starting school. I could see it being used as an ice breaker on that first day of school! But, for myself, I will just keep reading it to my kids when they are feeling anxious about school. It helps kids go out with a positive mindset and an open mind, hopefully to make more friends!
